Current Courses
In Fall, 2023, I am teaching "Evolution of the Earth", an introductory course looking at how the Earth has changed over the past 4.5 billion years. While most "Historical Geology" courses focus on the Phanerozoic and fossil record, this course is paced closer to the Earth's scale with much focus on Archean and Proterozoic planetary evolution--how planet Earth evolved from a molten orb to the funky oxygenated, tectonized, life-full ball we call home.. I am also teaching "Deep Time Geobiology", a graduate course that investigates how to take active, geobiological processes and preserve them in the rock record.
